SlashScrape is a command line tool to scrape a given Slashdot frontpage and return a set number of article links. The links can then be fed into your favourite download tool (eg: Wget, Curl, etc.) and used to grab the pages (includes examples).
I wrote this because I work away a lot and it's handy to be able to cache Slashdot offline for later reading, and this lets me control how much I get and where from. Also, the site where I'm working has hundreds of people sharing a T1 line and battering Slashdot's RSS feeds (so we're permanently blacklisted)
